Steribrite™ combines high frequency 42,000Hz Ultrasonic waves with powerful U.V-C light. It not only cleans your Dental Appliance, but it has also been lab tested and proven to kill 99.9% of all bacteria, viruses and pathogens.

The Sonic Spa uses ultrasonic technology; a super gentle yet highly effective cleaning action that has been used in the dental setting to clean equipment for over 60 years. High-frequency, high intensity soundwaves create millions of microscopic bubbles through water which implode in a process called cavitation. These tiny bubbles have the power to blast dirt and particles from the dental appliance submerged in the water, without causing any damage to the item.

In addition to ultrasonic cleaning technology, The Sonic Spa also uses an in-built UV-C, or ultraviolet light. UV light has long been known as an effective disinfectant which kills 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and pathogens which are exposed to it. This means that you can be sure your dental appliances are left sparkling clean and bacteria free!

- Does it take long for The Sonic Spa to clean?
The cleaning cycle takes 5 minutes, you’ll hear a faint buzzing while it’s working. When the buzzing stops, your appliance is sparkling clean and 99.9% free of bacteria, viruses and pathogens.

This is completely up to you - as every appliance is different, we always recommend that you speak to your dentist or appliance provider. Some customers use them daily, others every other day. Yes. The Sonic Spa is absolutely safe and conforms with FCC, UKCA and CE regulations.

Yes. The 200ml capacity of The Sonic Spa means that you can clean more than one appliance at the same time. Just make sure all the implements are submerged in the water, it doesn’t exceed the max line and the lid is closed.

A toothbrush isn’t the most effective tool to clean your dental appliance. While it will remove some bacteria and plaque, you’re unlikely to get into all the nooks, crannies and crevices. The scrubbing motion can actually cause damage to the surface, scratches and cloudy looking trays which can not only be unsightly but can lead to irritation and even infection.

While sterilising tablets will kill some of the bacteria on the surface of your dental appliance, they can’t penetrate any deeper. Our built in UV light means that 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and pathogens are destroyed while the ultrasonic waves gently strip your dental appliance of dirt, so you can be sure of a thorough clean every time.

Ultrasonic technology has been used in laboratory and dental settings for over 60 years; it is known to be highly effective yet super gentle. The Sonic Spa is safe to use on a whole array of dental appliances including aligners, retainers, whitening trays and more.

You should never use hot water to clean your aligners or other dental appliances as it can cause the material to warp. We always recommend using cool or room temperature water in your Sonic Spa.

The Sonic Spa uses the same technology as the ultrasonic cleaners and baths you see in dental surgeries and practices. In professional settings, tank sizes can reach up to 288 litres and can cost thousands of pounds. Using the same technology, but on a much smaller scale, The Sonic Spa allows you to enjoy dental grade cleaning at home.

The Sonic Spa Pro is powered using a plug and socket. It will come with the plug suitable for the country you have ordered from.
